Spectators at Winter Events

Submitted by david.rockwood on

There has been some confusion about who can and who cannot attend our winter season sporting events and activities. We apologize for the confusion.

The policy IS: The parents of participants are the only people who can attend. Tickets are non-transferable.

The policy is NOT: Each participant gets two tickets to give to whomever the family chooses. (This is NOT the case.)

What this means for PHS: As directed by the UHSAA, only parents are to attend. As you are aware, we are using an e-ticketing system. Parents have been given a passcode to access their online tickets. Parents (including step-parents) should be the only people using this passcode. These tickets cannot be used for siblings, family friends, neighbors, other PHS students, etc. Once in the venue, parent spectators must sit in their assigned seats (with the exception of the parents of the sophomore basketball games who have been given special instructions). If a family has more than one participant, they do NOT get two tickets per participant. The rule is parents only.  And, as always, face masks (properly worn) are required. If an individual or family is found to have violated these rules, they will be asked to leave the venue and may be uninvited from attending future events.

To the parents who attend our events, please CHEER LOUD!  You get to represent the entire Payson High School community and we hope that you can bring as much positive enthusiasm and crowd noise as possible.

Watching the livestream: Games will be live-streamed via our YouTube channel. PHS TV Broadcast students run the entire broadcast and are pleased to provide this service. For the most updated link visit the school website.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep PHS athletics moving forward this season.
