What Really Matters Is On the Inside: A Look at PHS UCBT

Everyone is different. We have different hair, different body shapes, and even different skin colors. We are all different on the outside, and we are all different on the inside too. Everyone has their own specialties on the inside. Some people love, some people care, and to be honest some people are just flat out ornery. We as a school and a community need to look what is on the inside more than the outside; being a little person myself I understand the difficulties of looking on the inside. When I see other little people or someone different looking, I have a hard time looking on the inside. I think that everyone can admit that we all have those moments where we need to remind ourselves to look on the inside. Looking on the inside rather than the outside will help us all get along a lot better at home or abroad. So as a community, I believe it that we should try our hardest to look at what is on the inside, not just what is on the outside. What is on the inside is what really matters.
In our school and community we have a lot of amazing people. At PHS we have an amazing UCBT class. Each of the kids is special in their own way. For instance there is DeeJay Callister who is a Utah Jazz fan, maybe even their number one fan. There also is Amberly Paul she is a senior and loves any musicals especially Disney ones. Larry Jensen is an awesome kid who loves playing video games, especially Sonic X. Then there are a lot of other amazing kids that have their own way in that class. The UCBT teachers are also awesome! They are very helpful in all that the kids want to do. We at PHS are pretty lucky to have these kids in our school and our community to be able to learn from these awesome kids that what really matters is on the inside. We need to look in the inside not just in our school but also in our community we have an amazing kid that many people know as well as love. His name is Matthew Peery. He is the son of Payson High’s Principal, Mr. Peery. Matt is Payson’s number one supporter. He is at every game he can be at. He wears the uniform along with the team. I know that if Matt didn’t have his special personality he wouldn’t be where he is today! Matt wasn’t supposed to live past his 20th birthday; Matt is now 23 and living strong!
There are many amazing things that people can find out about different people if they only looked on the inside rather than the outside. That is why I have decided that looking on the inside and not on the outside is What Really Matters.
