Les Miserables at Payson High School

Submitted by kate.searle on

Every year, the school drama and choir teams put together a school production, and each year they are phenomenal! Some years they are well heard of stories, such as Alice in Wonderland, or West Side Story. But some years they are somewhat unknown, like last year’s The Drowsy Chaperone. But that doesn’t matter, because every year the directors and production team truly put their heart and soul into the show!

Miss Payson 2017 Kaisley Theobald is collecting shoes for Burkina Faso, Africa.  Theobald says, "all the shoes collected go to people who have worn down, holey shoes with no soles or to kids who have never owned a pair of shoes in their life. We have the luxury of having a couple pairs of shoes or shoes that we don’t even wear. We are so lucky!! If you are cleaning out your closet, I would love to take any shoes off your hands!"

Paysetter Night!

Payson High Schools drill team danced the night away along with many other young dancers from around the Payson area. The night began with a presentation of the 2017-2018 Paysetters and their companions. Following their presentation, the girls of the night performed their Epic Hip Hop. Paysetters smiled through their Camp Dance. After Camp Dance, some of the other studios; Limelight, Step In Time, Steps PAC, Cindy’s Dance, and The Ridge Dance Academy took over the floor and also flooded the audience with “oohs” and “awws.”

Protecting our Pride

Attention! Students of PHS, we have the ability to bring others to victory. Students at Payson High School have been victorious in many sports for several years, and every time there is always a picture perfect crowd of students whooping, cheering, and supporting our teams. We need to understand that we play a part in every event when we, as classmates, support one another. In the end we create something beautiful: we become one.
