PHS is excited to announce that our new head football coach will be Brian Wall. Coach Wall is known to the Lion football family, having already served as an assistant football coach. 

We hope you had a wonderful holiday break. Classes start up again on Wednesday January 4th with the first day of 2nd Semester. It will be a B day, and we will have a normal bell schedule. Be sure to double-check your class schedules.

Payson High School wishes all of you a wonderful and happy holiday break! Enjoy the time. Be safe. Remember that the school will be closed from December 22 through January 3rd. Classes will resume on Wednesday January 4, 2023. 

At the end of November, Payson High had the annual Penny Wars fundraiser also known as Sub for Santa. We were able to meet our goal of $8,000 ! All of the money donated is helping bring Christmas to families in our school, and unite our community this holiday season. Thank you for donating, and have a wonderful holiday season! 

Congrats to our new Heart of a Lion, Mr. Shaun Black!

Each term students and parents nominate teachers that they feel are exceptional. Some of Mr. Black's students have said "He always goes and tries to help everybody everyday", "He's hilarious, cool, and very kind".

Congratulations to our October Students of the Month! These students were nominated by their teachers. 

October Students of the Month: Jarret Johnson, Charlotte Syme, Holly Kynaston, Chloe Crabb, Natasia Fevanga, Alexandra Royzen, Crisali Valdovinos, and Conner O'Brien.

Construction for our new school has started! The new building will be completed in the Summer of 2025 and classes will begin in the Fall of 2025.

Did you know that there are over 1,400 students and staff members from Payson High School who have served in the armed forces? (You can see there names listed on plaques in our Veterans Display near the front office and online in the PHS Hall of Fame.) We are very proud of our connection with the Veterans community.

Last month our students here at PHS had the opportunity to go visit some historical sights in Boston, Massachusetts.

Many teachers would agree that we had more students and faculty dress up for Halloween this year compared to most years. Check out some of the fun costumes sported at school on Monday, October 31, 2022.
