Boys Soccer Tryouts will be Monday, March 1, 2021, at the ALC Building in Salem and Tuesday, March 2 in the PHS Main Gym.

To be eligible for tryouts the student must have a current physical and completed all the requirements on www.RegisterMyAthlete.com and meet the grades requirement by the school.

CTE Month highlights the classes that students have to change their dream into a career. Today’s cutting-edge, rigorous and relevant career and technical education (CTE) prepares you for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers. We offer a widge range of CTE courses at Payson High School in Family and Consumer Science, Business, Information Technology, Agriculuture, and more! 

On January 14th, we revealed our new athletic logo! This logo will not replace our current "P", but will be used primarily for athletics.

The logo was designed by senior student, Spencer Bennett using Adobe Illustrator. 

We know that history isn’t destiny. But if anyone was clearly destined to become a teacher, Tani Griffin was. Her exceptional talent and dedication as an English teacher flows from her life-long love of language and literature. Tani discovered her love of reading early and has always cultivated that love in others around her. For example, as a teen she read books for hours on end to her younger brother, Jonathan. Tani did not know then that she was preparing him for a future Stanford education, but she’s always known that reading is foundational to academic success.

Congratulations to Tate Christensen, Jarrett Harmon, Jeff Durrant, Carter Craghead, Caden Rowley, Zac Robbins, and Rhett Robinson, who all made the all-independent first team for football. Go Lions!

Winter Track & Field practices (for those who are not involved in another winter sport) are about to start! They will meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 3:00 PM on the indoor (basement) track.
