National Hispanic Heritage Month

Did you know that 17% of the PHS student body shares Hispanic heritage? September 15 is the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Monthwhich runs through October 15. During this important month, we recognize the valuable historical and cultural contributions from those of Hispanic heritage to the broader fabric of our community. 

Homecoming Week 2022

PHS Football Defeats Timpanogos 49-6

Thursday night's Week 5 matchup was between Timpanogos(4-0) and Payson(2-2). The Lions got off to a hot start scoring on their first drive. Just 13 seconds of game time after Jaxon Bulkley opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown dive, Dylan Wall returned an interception 22 yards for another score to double Payson's score.

Club Rush 2022

Starting the school year, Payson High School had an opening assembly to welcome all students and acknowledge our seniors. Here are some of the highlights that happened during the assembly. Starting off, we introduced our 2022-23 student council as well as introducing new teachers and staff that will be joining us this year!

The Payson Lions high school cross country runners enjoyed a rare treat for their summer cross country camp last week as they heard from four national champions, a two-time Olympian, and two celebrated coaches. 

Back to School Night & Sophomore Orientation

The first day of school is almost here (Aug 17).  To help you get orientated, PHS is hosting a back-to-school night and sophomore orientation on Monday August 15 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. We will have a short assembly-style orientation for all 10th graders and other students who are new to Payson High School at 3:00 PM in the auditorium. And the school will be open from 3:00 to 6:00 PM for an open house. You can walk around campus to find your classes, try out your locker, and even meet your teachers. Welcome back Lions!
