Must have 2.0 GPA (or higher) and NO "F"s on 4th term grades
If these are not done before tryouts, you WILL NOT be able to try out.
Participation fee is $250
You must play golf this summer to be ready to go when school starts. The first meet is the week after tryouts!
Dates for Tryouts
You will need to come early to warm-up and you will need to pay Green Fees ($)
July 31st - Tee times at 5:00 PM, Gladstan, walking 9 holes, $13 green fee
August 1st - Tee times at 1:00 PM, Canyon Hills (Nephi), walking 18 holes, $16 green fee
You will need to pay for the golf each day. Show up early to warm-up, pay, then check in with Coach Miller
August 2nd - Mandatory Player/Parent Meeting with coach Miller 6:00 PM in PHS faculty room.
August 3rd - Player/Parent Meeting at 6:00 PM in the PHS Auditorium then break out to respective teams.
$250 participation fee for PHS Golf. You will pay the finance office after tryouts.

Monday: 1:00 PM, Sky Mt. with lunch, $35
Tuesday: 8:00 AM, Sunbrook, $32;A
Tuesday: 1:00 PM Sun River, $32
Wednesday: 10:00 AM, Southgate, $38
Making the Team
When you make the team, you will need to get into the Advanced Conditioning class period 4A for 1st semester. Coach Miller will take you during this class period to improve your golf skills.
Regular golf practice will start the day after tryouts.
The season is August 1 through October 11-12 (the state tournament).
Clothing & Equipment
You will need your own golf clubs
Shoes with some traction on the bottom are recommended
Coach Miller will purchase team shirts for the players.
You can get your own black pants/shorts (with pockets) to wear with the team shirt.
