David Kindrick

Payson High School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Coach David Kindrick as our new head coach of the Girls Soccer Team. Our previous head coach, Coach Ciera Ward, has resigned in order to focus on her growing family. And we are very grateful for her extraordinary service to our school and community. Coach Kindrick brings with him a love for and knowledge of the game of soccer that is both deep and wide. (He calls the sport simply “the beautiful game.”) He teaches science at Springville Junior High School, was an assistant soccer coach at Salem Hills High School, and is one of the founders of the Shooters Soccer Club.

Coach Kindrick says, “I am excited to get to add to the foundation that has already been laid by the many that have come before me. I've worked my whole career to be able to coach at Payson High School at this time. It is time to go to work. Soccer is life, in so many ways. I'm happy to be able to put my back into the task before me and I look forward to the journey!”

We wish the outgoing Coach Ward the very best of success in her future endeavors. And we are excited to welcome Coach Kindrick into the Lion family.
