Red Ribbon Week Kicks Off With CRAZY SOCK DAY!

To kick off Red Ribbon Week, today’s theme was crazy sock day! “SOCK it to Drugs and Violence!” Tomorrow, Wednesday October 23rd is wear hats and tie dye day… “Put a CAP on drugs and violence”. There will also be a pancake breakfast in Room C-17 before school, and a rock wall in front of the school from 10:30 a.m.- 12:00. Thursday is the day to wear RED! There will also be an assembly and we will follow the A.M. regular schedule. Aloha Friday is wear Hawaiian clothes, “LEI Off Drugs and Violence”. There will also be an “Escape the Vape” escape room during lunch in the library.

Put In For the Radon Awareness Competition!

The state is holding a competition for kids & teens of all ages to enter and help bring awareness to radon. Radon is a gas that is dangerous to humans and is the second highest cause of cancer.

Payson High Custodian earns Nebo PEAK Award

Our very own custodian, Von Dansie, was awarded the October Nebo PEAK Award. Thanks for all of your hard work Von! We appreciate everything you do for our school. Payson High Football players help with "Dads and Doughnuts" event

On the morning of Wednesday, September 26th, some of our very own Payson High football players made a visit to Spring Lake Elementary school for their annual "Dads and Doughnuts" event. These players were able to substitute for the fathers that couldn't come, and spend time playing and eating donuts with the elementary students. The kids loved playing basketball and using the parachute with the football players.

National Honor Society Induction Ceremony

 Last night, September 23th, was the National Honor Society (NHS) induction ceremony. For those who don’t know, NHS is a school based group comprised of students that meet together often to participate in service based activities. During the induction ceremony, new members to the NHS were inducted into the society by reciting the NHS pledge. Scott Wilson, the assistant superintendent for Nebo School District, was a guest speaker at this event and he spoke about the butterfly effect. To round out this ceremony, Mary Ford catered dutch oven deliciousness. 

Utah Film Commision

College and Financial Aid Night at Payson High School

As part of Utah College Application Week (UCAW), Payson High School is hosting a College and Financial Aid Night (rebranded as “Beyond High School”) on Wednesday, October 9th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The goal of UCAW is to provide every high school senior the opportunity to complete at least one college or university application during the school day, with a particular focus on students who would be the first in their families to attend college, low-income students, or students who may not have otherwise considered applying.
