PHS Class of 1948

Jerry Cahill was drafted into the United States Army. He served honorably, stationed in Germany. After returning from the service, he graduated from Brigham Young University and began a career as a sports writer for the Deseret News. He spent 16 years at the Deseret News, with the last six years as city editor. Jerry left the Deseret News in 1975 when he was named as Director of Press Relations for the Public Communications Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
