Mrs. Heaps, coordinator for the organization, said, “Get your friends and join together, that’s what makes it fun.” Additionally, students that pay the $20 dues before Tuesday the 11th, get to go on a field trip to the State fair, and get a membership shirt.

It’s finally time for the class of 2019 to shine. All of us have been daydreaming about senior year since elementary school graduation and secretly wishing to be the class of 2020 because it sounds cooler.

A lot of people come out of their senior year telling the junior class to not be afraid to try new things because it’ll be over before you know it.

Welcome Back!

August 21 marks the first day of the 2018-2019 school year.  One new change this year is a new bell schedule.  Here is the link to the student menu: http://phs.nebo.edu/content/students

The new schedule is very similar to last year's change, but this year, Intervention will begin with fourth period on Tuesdays instead of first period.  This should allow students to receive more help throughout the week, and especially on Fridays.

Good luck to all students as you begin a new year.

Submitted by kate.searle on

Alicia Garff was named Daily Herald’s Teacher of the Week for the week of May 20. She is a loved by her students because she is continually making unique learning opportunities for them.  They have gone on field trips, used candy to chart data, and have been very successful in their testing and state performance standards.  Finishing her fifth year of teaching, Garff goes right along with the year's theme of being UNSTOPPABLE! Congratulations on this special recognition.

May 2018 Mane Street Journal

Submitted by clint.peery on

It is that time of year again. The time that every student both dreads and loves. It's the time of end of the year testing and finals but it's also the final month before summer vacation. It's the time that we say good-bye to our seniors and watch as they go off to start their lives. It's also the time for the very last edition of the Mane Street Journal for the 2017-2018 school year. Thank you so much for all the support that you have given us this year. So without further ado please enjoy this months edition of The Mane Street Journal.
