Carpentry projects set to wow audiences again

Submitted by kate.searle on

Mrs. Carlson and her team of wood shop students have filled the Payson High main gym with wood wonders once again this year.  Pieces range from bed stands, dressers and drawers, to nightstands, pool tables, and hope chests.

Many of these projects have been in the works since the beginning of the year and highlight the different skills available within the woodworking trade.  Many pieces this year have logos or images etched, burned, or laser printed into the wood.

Come stop by the gym tonight until 8:00 pm to see this amazing showcase.

Our High School Years

Graduation, whether you are excited for it or dreading it, it’s been on our minds since kindergarten. We have worked for thirteen years to get to this point. Everyone has gone through life experiences as small as making the first boxed mac and cheese dinners of many, all the way up to learning how to do complex trigonometry and how to make a somewhat correct works cited page. If you think about it, we’ve come so far. Who would have thought that one sheet of paper would affect our lives so much.

Our Future

Submitted by kate.searle on

The Class of 2018 came in to this school together and now they’re getting ready to leave together. There’s only one more month left of this school year, and it’s nerve wracking to think about. The future is starting and some students are taking it like a champ. During College application week over 80% of students filled out an application to go to college. That number usually drops a little by the end of the year, but over 80% of the Seniors at one point decided they want to further their education.
