For those that missed it, here is our 2023 Prom Royalty. The royalty was selected by the PHS student body.

We have some awesome students & athletes at our school! We had a very productive college signing day last week with 6 PHS athletes signing to play a variety of sports in college.

We are excited to announce this year's valedictorian and salutatorian. For the class of 2023, the valedictorian is Savannah Stinson and the salutatorian is Rachel Bentley. We are proud of the incredibly hard work these two students have put into their schooling over the past four years. Their academic achievements demonstrate their deep commitment to excellence and learning. We look forward to hearing from both of them at this year's graduation ceremony to be held at Utah Valley University on May 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

Our very own PHS had a special visit from the Utah Governor Spencer Cox. He met with all of the student leaders at our school for a Q and A and was able to provide great advice and information about the state of Utah. He talked about his past and where he grew up and what his hopes are for our state.

High school students from Mrs. Kelly's business classes and Mr. Nielsen's physics classes recently went on a field trip to Top Golf. On Wednesday April 12th, they boarded buses and headed up to Vineyard to learn about the physics of how golf clubs and balls work together, as well as the importance of learning how to work well with people in business. The workers at Top Golf did an excellent job and made the trip very educational for everyone involved.

Payson High School's Teacher of the Year for 2022-2023 is Mr. Derick Marchant. Mr. Marchant teaches English Language Arts, Humanities, and Latinos in Action. He is also one of our head track & field coaches. When asked about Mr. Marchant's contributions to the school, one colleague said:
