Our Payson High School Dance Company’s theme for the 2009-2010 school year is, “Together, We Dance United”, and they do folks! In fact, their Winter Concerto is coming up on December 4th and 5th, and it will be their first concert of the year! The theme for the concert is, “School Life” where they will be performing dances based on school experiences. Twill be truly awesome. So, get yourself to the Dance Company Concert the first weekend in December, and enjoy reliving school through the dances. Yeah!
Thanks to the efforts of FBLA and Mrs. Bridges, the students of Payson High School have the opportunity to give blood and save lives. This year, we have already had two blood drives, and the last one was a great success! Students, teachers and faculty alike came out to give blood, and together we donated 84 pints. Our goal was to donate 90 pints, and we were short by 6 pints! Six measly pints short! That’s only six students who chose not to give blood! Mrs.
Corina Michaelis and Travis Wilkinson, both Drum Majors of the marching band! As the Drum Majors, their responsibility is to keep time for the band. They’re the Big cheese in essence, the big Kahuna if you will. The Pride of the Lions Marching band is in a AA class or Two A class. I asked her what the Marching Band for all of us out there that don’t really know what they do; Corina simply put “We’re a concert band that happens to march”
